What to look for in a leader:

There are four essential points to look for in a leader:

  1. He must have wholehearted faith and believe in the rightness of his cause.
  2. He must have a cheery, energetic personality with sympathy and friendly understanding of his followers.
  3. He must have confidence in himself through knowing his job.
  4. What he preaches he must himself practice.

The essential of leadership might, in telegraphic brevity, be summed up as a comradeship and competence.

This is a wonderful time to be in Troop 2! This site will be one of my favorite websites because it provides answers to the many questions Scouts ask, a reference for dates and times of future events, links for merit badge worksheets, required forms and best of all, pictures of the Scouts which bring back those memories of our Scouting experience.

Troop 2 has a great home at First Baptist Church which provides us with what seems like endless resources at our hand. This website is an example, so, be careful what you ask for because you just might get it!
